What the profiles include and what the sources cannot show.

These profiles can improve as people add better records, current service data and local checks.

01

Constituency facts

Population and households use provisional 2022 Census tables. Official turnout uses the published 2025 register denominator, whose maintenance concerns are explained separately.

02

Careful use of proxies

Some labour, poverty and service figures are only available for larger administrative districts. We call these a stand-in, not a constituency fact.

03

Track each project’s stage

A budget line, launch or promise is not the same as a finished project or a reliable public service. Profile sections keep those stages separate.

04

Questions for local checking

Open questions identify issues that need better local evidence. They do not claim that a person or agency ignored them.

Research noteRead all boundary and data cautionsShow cautions

Administrative districts and electoral constituencies are different geographies. A district-level statistic is shown only as context and is labelled as a proxy.

Choiseul and Laborie have a known break in the 2010–2022 comparison around Saltibus, Piaye and Londonderry. Sex totals for Dennery North and Castries South East do not reconcile inside the provisional census tables. Those fields are not used to build demographic claims.

Each profile links both the current Electoral Department description and an older official CSO constituency reference map. The PDFs have a 2010 map vintage, are not machine-readable boundary polygons and may predate later boundary or coding changes. The Elections Monitor therefore uses simplified, illustrative geometry only to navigate the 2025 result. It is not a legal boundary instrument, and a shape’s area does not represent votes, register entries, population or political weight.
