The people behind
the testimony.

Who was aboard, who gave evidence, and which names still need to be reconciled. Every identity has a source; every uncertain connection remains visible.

A working identity register. Built from all six supplied transcript parts and the stated name cross-checks. These are automated transcripts, not certified verbatim records. The Day 1 reading edition includes reviewed corrections; several formal names remain unverified. No face-based identification is used.

More names. Still not a manifest.

What the passenger counts can tell us.

Cazorla Jr.9 aboard in testimony

Eight directly identified people.
Aliases still unresolved.

Edward and Chris now give their own evidence. Wabi and Nyall also appear in the accounts, but the record does not establish which identified people—if any—those names refer to.

This is not a claim that ten people were aboard. We do not force a name match to reach nine.

Ocean Angel9 places in the working list

Two crew and seven passengers.
Several full names still missing.

Elias’s name-by-name count is consistent with Dylan’s breakdown. One woman is described rather than named; several passengers have only first names in that account.

The public list of those who died does not automatically settle every name-to-passenger match.

17 roster entries · 3 unresolved name references below

A roster entry is not always a fully identified person.

Cazorla has eight directly identified people and unresolved Wabi / Nyall references that may overlap them. Ocean Angel has nine witness-described places, including an unnamed woman. Neither is a certified manifest.

Cazorla Jr.Heard · Day 1

Tyson Hippolit

Operator at impact

Operated Cazorla on the return. Taylor and Williams describe him helping them reach Ocean Angel’s floating remains.

Keep in view. Hippolyte is another reported spelling. Rescue evidence and questions about navigation are separate issues.

Cazorla Jr.Heard · Day 1

Ireanius Pascal

Owner aboard

Also called Dwight and Mango. Described a slowdown instruction, the jacket stop and attempts to move the damaged vessel towards shore.

Keep in view. Irenus and other given-name spellings occur in reporting and transcripts. A person named on vessel paperwork is not automatically the person operating it.

Cazorla Jr.Heard · Day 2

Taylor Riviere

Passenger

Requested a life jacket for her companion, Williams. Her Day 2 testimony gives a first-person account of the jacket being fitted and the rescue.

Keep in view. Rivier and River occur in the automated record. She did not see the other boat approach.

Cazorla Jr.Heard · Day 2

Romeon / Romaine Williams

Passenger; life-jacket wearer

Cazorla Jr.Heard · Day 2

Butcher (Mavado)

Bow passenger; lookout role disputed

Accepts the Mavado nickname and places himself at the bow. He repeatedly denies being the assigned lookout.

Keep in view. Janelle / General are competing automated name forms. Chris later says he inferred the lookout role from the seat; the owner and Edward describe a lookout.

Cazorla Jr.Heard · Day 2

Lester Jean (Soya)

Passenger

Describes both legs, changes in the passenger group, the damaged boat and transfer via a nearby yacht and Ti Kaye.

Keep in view. Lester is distinct from Mavado. His name list is testimony, not a certified manifest.

Cazorla Jr.Heard · Day 2

Jean Pierre Ralph Edward

Passenger on the return

Self-identifies and confirms he joined Cazorla in the north to return to Soufrière. The Day 2 afternoon resolves his earlier question-only status.

Keep in view. He describes working on boats elsewhere but says he was a passenger on this voyage. His certificate and operating-licence evidence requires documentary resolution.

Cazorla Jr.Heard · Day 2

Chris [surname unresolved]

Passenger

Now gives his own sworn account, including his seat beside Pascal and Lester. This replaces the earlier probable-occupant classification.

Keep in view. The supplied transcript renders his surname Jabatis. No direct evidence supplied establishes that he is Wabi or Nyall.

Dylan Nicholas

Dylan · Dilon

Ocean Angel

Tyrone / Tyran

Initial operator; later crew in Dylan’s account

Named in the Ocean Angel voyage and occupant accounts. Dylan describes him operating first and later acting as crew/lookout.

Keep in view. Public casualty reporting names Tyrone Elivique. The hearing’s Paul surname reference is not yet reconciled with that record. Do not confuse Tyrone with Tyson.

Ocean AngelHeard · Day 1

Roxan Bonapart

Passenger

Day 1 witness. Describes the voyage, a request for a life jacket and survival after the impact; also appears in Day 2 rescue accounts.

Keep in view. Roxanne / Bonnapart / Bonaparte appear as spelling variants. She did not see the collision itself.

Ocean AngelHeard · Day 1

Elias Nicholas

Passenger; says he was not crew

Day 1 witness whose name-by-name account supports a nine-person working roster.

Keep in view. Occupation as a fisherman does not make him crew on this trip. The rescue nickname Shakabe has not been linked to him.

Name variants in the record

Elias · Alias Nicholas

Ocean Angel

Debbie

Passenger in Elias’s account

Named in the Ocean Angel count. Public reporting identifies deceased passenger Debbie Dolor.

Keep in view. The formal-name match and which woman was carried on which rescue trip need careful source-by-source reconciliation.

Ocean Angel

Woman from Choiseul; name not given

Passenger described by Elias

Elias includes a woman from Choiseul whose name he does not know. This description occupies one place in his nine-person count.

Keep in view. Do not assign Mhakeida Nestor to this slot simply by elimination. This is one witness’s description, not an additional known person.

Name variants in the record

Ocean Angel

Bradley

Passenger in Elias’s account

First name is explicitly spelled aloud in the Day 1 testimony.

Keep in view. Surname and individual outcome are not established by the supplied roster passages.

Ocean Angel

Marvin / Marvi

Passenger in Elias’s account

Named in the Ocean Angel count assembled during Day 1.

Keep in view. The automated variants and full identity have not been independently resolved.

Name variants in the record

Marvin · Marvi · Na’vi

Search aids, not additional people. Some spellings remain provisional.
Ocean Angel

Marley / Mali

Passenger in Elias’s account

Named in the Ocean Angel count. Police-attributed casualty reporting uses Marley William.

Keep in view. Keep the casualty-name cross-reference visible; do not merge with Cazorla passenger Williams.

Name variants in the record

Marley William · Marley · Mali · Molly

Search aids, not additional people. Some spellings remain provisional.

Keep the uncertainty visible

Names still being reconciled.

These references are meaningful evidence, but cannot be added as extra people or assigned to existing names simply to make the arithmetic fit.

Original vessel unresolved

Shakabe / Chakabe

Named in Taylor’s rescue and Canaries landing account.

Being rescued alongside someone does not establish that they started on the same boat. No confirmed full identity or original-vessel match.

After the collision

A rescue group is a different list.

Taylor and Williams started on Cazorla, reached Ocean Angel’s floating remains with Tyson’s help, then boarded a rescue craft. Their presence there does not place them aboard Ocean Angel before impact.

The public record of loss

Four people who did not return.

Government and police-attributed reporting identify the four people who died. Their names deserve a clear place in the record, separate from disputed aliases and the mechanics of reconstruction.

  • Debbie Dolor
  • Mhakeida Nestor
  • Marley William
  • Tyrone Elivique

These published casualty names are not a certified passenger manifest. The “Paul” / Tyrone Elivique cross-reference remains unresolved in the supplied hearing text.

A record that can be checked. Read the source passages, compare accounts and distinguish evidence from analysis.
